Data processed & purposes
Account (email, name, hashed password) to provide the login – legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Usage data (questions asked, votes, feedback, anonymous statistics) and the IP address for country/language detection, security and service improvement – legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
AI processing (OpenAI)
To generate answers, your input is transmitted to OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C., USA) acting as a processor. This involves a transfer to the USA (safeguarded via Standard Contractual Clauses / the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). Please do not enter sensitive personal data into questions.
Hosting
The website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany, server location in the EU) as a processor.
Cookies & local storage
We only use a strictly necessary login cookie and local storage (localStorage) for language settings and progress. There is no tracking and no web analytics; therefore no cookie banner is required.
Retention
Account data is stored until the account is deleted. Usage and log data are kept only as long as necessary for operation, security and statistics.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can delete your account yourself at any time in your profile via “Delete account”, or contact us by email.
